History: Born Yamada Daiki, he was the second son of Yamada Susumu and Yamada Riiko. Daiki was raised in relative comfort based on his father's massive wealth, until he reached the age of 17. At this age, his true parentage was revealed; he was indeed Riiko's son, but his father was a man named Koizumi Yori, a former lover of Riiko's with whom she had an affair after marrying Susumu. Yamada, angered over his wife's infidelity and being tricked into raising her bastard son as his own, immediately disowned the boy and used his money and influence to have his name removed from all records relating to the family. Daiki was essentially listed as an orphan and thrown out of the family home. Riiko was unable to accept her husband's actions toward her son, but was also unwilling to leave Yamada because if she did, she would lose everything she had. Instead, she stole a large sum of money from their joint account (the equivalent of four million USD), and deposited it in Gringotts under the name "Daiki Koizumi". Yamada, before discovering this thievery, demanded Daiki change his surname to further distance himself from the family; the boy did this willingly, not realising that his mother had foreseen this happening and stolen money for him. Riiko sent her son to the UK, where she was sure he would prosper more than he would in Japan, where he would most likely be known as a delinquent orphan boy. Yamada, upon discovering the money was missing, decided that it was best let go, because going after it would force Daiki into the national spotlight and possibly make it glaringly obvious that he was an exiled member of the family. By leaving the boy with the money, he decided the issue of his existence was properly swept under the rug and forgotten.

Personality: Daiki is moderately intelligent and by nature, he is usually very sweet and open with people. He has closed up a bit since the incident with Yamada, however, and constantly turns to his vices to comfort himself. He tries to pretend as if the sudden exile doesn't bother him, that he's forgotten all about that family and everything to do with it, but it's still a very steady ache for him. He's very friendly, slightly perverted, and enjoys being around friends and making people smile. He was raised in a very stringent environment, and thus has the ability to employ proper manners when they're needed. However, he doesn't deem them needed often, and thus most of the time he acts like a normal person. One of his vices is his habit of sleeping with women far too soon for it to be proper; he also has a bad habit of smoking when stressed out. He gets drunk easily, which is a reason he doesn't go out drinking much. The hangovers are never much fun for him. He enjoys watching Muggle television shows and often times when he thinks that the show could be better if he had written it, he uses magic to change how it's going, at least for himself. He can be quite creative at random moments, but when called upon to employ this characteristic he tends to freeze up and is unable to come up with anything he'd judge as worthy of use.

History: Shu's family immigrated to the UK around 1861 (They avoided moving to the USA because of the impending/beginning of the Civil War). Hideaki Nakato was a businessman in Japan; the nature of his business is still mostly unknown, though suspected, outside the family. He was the owner of several (about a dozen...) shady, seedy houses throughout the whole country. The money he made off this was used to buy clothing factories and other investments. After increasing their wealth to obscene amounts, Hideaki sold all their businesses and possessions in Japan and moved the family to the UK, a place he deemed much more friendly to someone of his nature. His posterity would later thank him, as their home had been made in Hiroshima and the bombing during WWII would have wiped them off the planet, filthy rich or not.

Several generations down the line, Shu was born. His father is of diluted Japanese ancestry, as is Shu, but Shu's mother is Japanese. His father went back to Japan during his youth and located a rich young woman to marry. This was a marriage of convenience; Yuta and Kanako simply tolerate each other. Yuta is renowned for the long list of conquests he's scored during his marriage, and Kanako makes no secret of her lusty nature. These are the very reasons that Shuhei utterly and completely hates his parents.

Yet... he depends on them to get by. His aim is to be there long enough to get a good education at a magical university, and then he'll bid them goodbye forever and make his own fortune.

Personality: Shuhei, due to the trauma caused by the knowledge of his parents' disdain for each other, is a complete shut-in when he's around people of society and the like. He rarely speaks to those who do not speak to him first; he merely observes those around him when he is forced to be in the company of his parents' ilk. Dishonesty and cruelty, mocking people behind their backs, and childish behaviour disgust him, and he does all he can to undermine the society members he sees employing dishonest tactics.

On the other hand, when he's around people his own age who don't run in the same social circles as his parents, Shu is completely different. To his professors and peers, he was constantly seen as a punk, someone who was intelligent and yet refused to answer in class when he was called upon. He enjoys the company of those he likes, and simply ignores those he does not. However, if someone he dislikes confronts him about this, he will tell them to their face exactly why he does not like them.

Personality: Lydia is a piece of work. Raised by her pureblood, ridiculously well-off family, Lyddie looks down upon the world from her pedestal. The only ones allowed to step up next to her are her fiancee and her father. Snobbish, sharp-tongued, and yet somehow utterly and completely dim when it comes to thought outside the world that she immediately inhabits, she is likely to cause either severe mental distress for those she speaks with, or have them fall madly in love with her for her perfect body and status. Because let's face it. Lyddie's not exactly a charmer when it comes to those who don't matter in the world, so there's little else for someone to fall for. She has her moments, however; Lydia has a particular weakness for small children (not babies, dear Merlin no. Too young!), roughly ages 3 to 7. After that, she loses the patience they seem to bring out in her. If you've ever brought out the rage in her, and she's about to kill you, the best defence is either a) distract her with something expensive, b) outwit her (fairly easy task, that) or c) hide behind a five-year-old.

Relevant Facts: She's been engaged to Keiran Toussaint for five years now, and adores the man. Unfortunately for her, Keir couldn't care less about her. Despite her claims of 'love' for the man, Lydia is looking to marry into the Toussaint family. Which means she has her eyes on all the brothers as well. After all, if one engagement falls through, who's to say that another couldn't be arranged for?

Personality: Mox is a very indifferent person, partially because of his inability to feel anything. This isn't an exaggeration. Mox is completely incapable of feeling human emotion... unless he's feeding off of it. He's a very inward person, who doesn't often let others know what thoughts are running through his mind. He's a very deep, conflicted person, because he, unlike Nero, remembers everything of his former life.
History: Malimox was left at the doors of a hospital on New Year's Day, in a carseat with a blanket wrapped loosely around him. The only thing the nurses had to identify him with was a small necklace with a broken chain that had become entangled on the carseat; the metal tag hanging on it read "Malimox", and thus he was named. His last name is the Japanese word for "Nameless", because he will never know if Malimox is his given name, or if he was an unnamed baby left by his mother because she didn't want him. He grew up in foster homes, shuffling from one to the next because his foster parents were unnerved by the boy's unfeeling state. He seemed dead to the world, and it made everyone nervous around him. Everyone but Nero Watase, who was the only person in their school to ever approach him. They became good friends, and after they were attacked by the mysterious strangers and woke up changed men, he and Nero ran away together, for the sake of Nero's family.

General Appearance: Shaggy dark brown, almost black hair and bright, enthusiastic brown eyes. He seems to be always smiling, even when he has had a bad day. He is slender and fit, despite the fact that he's not been allowed to really exert himself physically very much. He is half Korean, half Japanese, and all adorable. Ridiculously thin (Daphne Hopton thinks he's breakable and this could be a reason why)

History: Raiden was born to Sun and Raizo Kururugi in the early winter of 2054 in Hokkaido, Japan. He spent his first year in the hospital under close watch around the clock, because he was born severely weakened. His heart had been formed with five holes in it, and though doctors worked to mend the holes, his parents were told that the organ would never be as strong as it was in other children. Their son could die at any time if enough stress were put upon him. Sun and Raizo made the decision to move to the UK when he was two, to pursue better medical treatments for his problems. His family has lived here ever since; Sun had another son when Raiden was 7, named Shiro. He was born with no health issues whatsoever. Raiden went to Muggle kindergarden and first grade, but halfway through the term in first grade, Sun discovered she was pregnant. Raiden had been a difficult pregnancy, and Shiro was none the different, and thinking it would place extra stress on their son that he didn't need, Raizo and Sun removed him from public school. From the age of 7, up until he received his letter to attend Hogwarts, Raiden was tutored privately in the family home, a service which was sponsored by Sun's parents. They would not, however, pay the family's basic living costs, and Raizo went to work for the Ministry.

Languages/Magical Education: He can speak Korean, Japanese, and English fluently, along with fragmented Spanish because one of his tutors was fluent in that and taught him a basic knowledge of it. Because he was around children his age for a while, and his tutors, and the doctors at the hospitals, he does have an English accent, kind of. His mum and dad can speak Japanese, Korean, English and Chinese. Shiro's learning English and Korean, but he's not into Japanese yet. Raiden had a basic knowledge of magic before going to Hogwarts, which his mum thought would be necessary so nothing at Hogwarts would surprise him enough for him to have a relapse. He also has several ways of controlling his own heartbeat, to keep control of it, but sometimes it doesn't work because things are just too much.

Personality: Raiden is a perpetually happy person. Always smiling and bouncing with excitement, he's someone that people can't help but like. His reasoning behind always smiling is simple: He knows that his time is limited due to his health problems. Thus, he wants to spend what little time he may have being happy, because there's no point in feeling sad about things, is there? However, his being distanced from most everyone his age has made him grow into a slightly... well very naive person. He can't see flaws in a person until they're blatantly obvious, and he thinks that most people, even if they're rude or mean, have the ability to redeem themselves. It's not really a bad quality, but it leads to him getting hurt in the long run sometimes. He's slowly overcoming it, and becoming more wary of the people he talks to. Raiden loves loves LOVES to make friends, despite his increasing awareness of peoples' insanity. His best friends are Daphne Hopton, Celandine Toussaint, Kiri Starstalker, and... possibly Garret Crocker. He's been known to talk to anyone and everyone, however, and holds older students/previous staff in a special place in his heart. Cassandra Trelawney was one of his very favourite people despite the fact that 'he was bad and made her put him in detention'; Nicholai Toussaint is someone he considers to be one of his very best friends as well. Pretty much anyone and everyone he's met, he'd count as a friend.

History and Personality:
Born into a middle-class Wizarding family, Shaye is the son of the Korean-born wizard Park MinHo and the English-born witch Kristina Truttle. He has two sisters; one older named Ariella (22) and one younger, named Sun (7). As the only boy, and the middle child, Shaye has grown into quite the eccentric, something he seems to utilise to escape from obscurity in his own family. From a young age he boasted an over-active imagination and love for Muggle comic books, especially comics about zombies and the ensuing apocalypses associated with said creatures. Hyper and talkative, he was the bane of his teachers' existences as he would rarely sit still for an entire class, choosing instead to move about the classroom under the desks, putting beetles on his classmates' knees and performing other small acts of silliness or slight vandalism. Despite his hyper demeanor and his strange habits, he was nonetheless a friendly child, and after receiving his first mouse-ear hat at the age of 8, he offered to let the people in the class that he liked wear it whenever they wanted to. When he was 9, his first real explosion of magical activity occurred. His family had been shopping in a mall and had gone into a pet store to have a look around (Ariella wanted to have a look at the rabbits, as it was her 16th birthday and she wanted one); the owner of the store was in the process of feeding a snake. Shaye's attention was caught by the horrific act and he watched as the owner dropped a few mice into the tank for the creature. He'd always liked snakes, and he loved mice... but not together. As the snake struck to eat one of them, the tank exploded, killing the snake, and all the glass tanks in the store that contained mice disappeared. All the mice, urged on by Shaye, made a break for it, as the owner stood dumbfounded by what was happening in the wreckage that had been his store. Rumour has it that the mice are now living happily in a field somewhere and have erected a shrine in Shaye's honour, but as the rumour came from Shaye's own mouth one cannot be sure if it can be trusted.

Now older, Shaye still has a deep love of mice, and will not stand to see violence taken against them. His favourite accessory is his mouse hat, which he wears every so often to class (and doesn't seem to think this is a strange thing to do, either...); if you're a friend, he may offer to let you wear it for a little while, if he hasn't forgotten that he's wearing it himself. He enjoys flying and attempting to draw his own comics. Most of them are gory tales of Zombie Apocalypses which all end with one man becoming the King of the Zombies. Curiously, this man is almost always wearing a mouse-ear hat. He is still rather eccentric and odd, and he fireproofs his boxer shorts with a charm, daily. Because... we all know there will be someone who wants to set his crazy butt on fire one day, won't there be.

History: Takeshi was born in the Kumamoto Prefecture of Japan, when his mother and father were only 21 and 25, respectively. They promptly married and moved to the UK, where Susanna's family lived, because Susanna's father had gotten Satoruu a better job than he'd had before in Japan. He entered Hogwarts at 11 and graduated at 18. A decidedly unstellar student, the only things he seemed to excel in were Potions and Charms. Divination, Astronomy... those things were beyond his regular scope of knowledge. Muggle Studies? Ha. Runes? Don't make me laugh. He'd never been able to wrap his head around most things fully, but Potions and Charms had been his calling. Upon graduation, and against his better judgement, he decided he'd try to be a Healer. He was pretty sure he'd never run across tarot cards, runes or Muggles in a Healing Ward, right?

Personality: Which one? Takki's personality can switch on a dime. Make him smile and he'll make you laugh. Make him angry and he'll make you cry. He's a sweet guy, but when you get on him, he'll get right back on you. He's not one to hold a grudge though, and he's quick to forgive and forget...as long as you're the one admitting to the wrong-doing. He will, however, grudgingly admit when he's done something stupid or wrong. He's not quick to make decisions, unless someone's life is on the line. He's a guy who enjoys taking his time to think things through. Things are better planned than just thrown together, right? He's not too open a person, and prefers to take his time getting to know someone before telling them all about himself. He's got a quirky sense of humour and will sometimes say things that just... don't work in the current situation he's managed to inject himself into. Socially awkward is the word for it, I think... But normally he's very likable and nice. Just remember, don't make him mad...

Interests: History (it can't change on you and if it does, someone's abusing the Time Turners!), pumpkin pasties, girls, books, music. He likes to sing, but he won't do it in front of people. (Takki: Because people don't deserve to hear you singing if they're just going to laugh. *sniff*) Learning new charms. Harvesting potion ingredients. (Sometimes he needs a little help with that though... he's not super-good with plants. Herbology wasn't one of his strong points... And he's pleased to let others tackle the animals for THOSE parts.) Personality: While he may look harmless, don't let his size fool you. Nero Watase is a force to be reckoned with. Sharp-witted and quick with anything from jokes to insults, Nero is everybody's best friend and worst enemy. He pokes fun at everyone, but when the chips are down, he's a fiercely loyal friend and would do anything for those he truly cares about. Mostly because those he truly cares about are few and far between... He can be blunt to the point of being cruel, however, and not even realize it. He's been in quite a few fights, and I suggest you don't try to lure him into one. Again... small, but FIERCE.
Even with all those little personality flaws, Nero has a heart. He can't stand to see others in pain, when he actually recognizes the pain, and he's a good listener when he's not distracted by other things. Which is rarely, but he's always willing to lend an ear to a pretty girl, at least...That actually might be another personality flaw, now that I think of it. He's nice when he wants to be. And when it's necessary. (There's that, at least. lol)

History: Nero's great-grandparents immigrated to the United States when they were young and started a family in "The Land of Dreams" as they referred to it. Their tiny tempura business, started in California, struck it big and was bought out by a corporation when Nero's father was a child. The family had been rolling in cash before then, but the corporation buyout really set them up for generations to come. And then... the family's bad egg was hatched. Nero has caused his family quite a bit of grief with his antics. He was bounced from private academy to private academy all through his schooling; he kept getting thrown out for his inappropriate behaviour.

History: Although he doesn't remember most of his history before his power developed, Nero grew up in a relatively normal family. He had a mother, father, and two little sisters whom he loved fiercely. But one day, after school, he and his best friend Malimox were walking home when they were accosted by several strangers and shoved into a building. They don't remember what happened in that building, but when they awoke days later... they were different. Nero, terrified of the strange new power he held, begged Mox to do something... and Mox decided that they would leave. He had no ties to the area, as he had no family, but Nero... left behind everything.

He opts for tee-shirts and jeans most of the time, with a button-up shirt over top (unbuttoned of course, to show off his concert tees). He carries his laptop around in his messenger bag.
Personality: Ryu is sweet, polite, and very outgoing. More often than not, he is seen with a smile on his face. He's a musician, and left his band of two years just before coming to Solways due to differences in creativity. They wanted to play heavier music, and Ryu wasn't into it. He dabbles in soft rock, and writes his own songs. He plays the guitar and the piano. He's the kinda guy who wants to be friends with everyone, and tries his hardest not to make anyone angry.
History: Born into a middle class family, Ryu is an only child whose parents have big ambitions for him. Despite their best efforts, however, Ryu didn't excel at Academics as they wanted. He's intelligent, but he's never been top of the class. Because of his talent for the arts, and because he wanted his nephew to succeed, Ryu's uncle paid for him to enter Solways. He says that if Ryu can get through Solways, he'll help him to move forward in the Music world.

History: Born in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, UK, Hiroki was raised by his Muggle Father and Wizard Mother until the age of 11, when he went off to Hogwarts as all Magical children do. He was sorted into Ravenclaw and spent the entirety of his school years trying to measure up to the others in his house. An avid points earner until his sixth year, Hiroki finally realized that all of existence did not depend on him getting the house cup and mellowed out a bit, allowing himself to finally think about dating and stuff like that. Likes: His existence seems to depend on ice cream. He loves all flavours, and if you want to get on his good side (which really isn't that hard, people...) after upsetting him... buy him ice cream. History: Her mother died when she was very young, and thus Adalia was raised by her father. He didn't have the, erm... equipment to really teach her how to be a girl, so she's a lot like the boys her age. She's very headstrong because of him.

Notes: Ritea is a descendant of Rita Skeeter (they changed the name to Skeeker because of the stigma around the name Skeeter), and the daughter of Mary-Sue Cullen and Irial Blackk. She was taken at birth from her father's kind and moved to Antarctica, where she received her wand from a tribesman (they get their wands at birth down that way). Trained from birth in the arts of magic, martial arts, and yoga, Ritea is a force to be reckoned with. She is versed in advanced magic and able to do non-verbal spells at will, thanks to having grown up learning. Her presence at Hogwarts isn't necessary, but her mother decided that she should attend so she has a proper magical education and learns to get along with others. She is graceful, beautiful, and presents a perfect face to the world. She has a tattoo on the back of her shoulder, a magical tattoo put upon her at birth by her father's kind. If she ever starts to falter, it sparkles and imbues her with the power of her ancestors, an ancient race of immensely magical people. She is an accomplished Animagus, and able to turn into a Unicorn, panther, peacock, and a few other types of animals. She seems to have natural allure and boys are drawn to her without reason. Her eyes change often to mirror her feelings, and rarely are they outside the range of brown or green, which is happy for her. She is loyal and loving of everyone, but quick to strike down those who cross her or hurt her friends. She doesn't believe that violence is an answer, and will try to talk things out when disagreed with, but because she is never wrong, she will never admit to fault. She always knows when someone is lying because she can read thoughts upon meeting the eyes of someone. She is also able to project her thoughts into others' minds, thus communicating silently with anyone she chooses to. Because of her upbringing, she has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of spells and facts, and will often know the answer to any question in class.

In short, she is epic and to cross her would not be wise.
